Hot in Rio
This chile pepper, lime and cachaça cocktail from Bacardí brand ambassador Jacob Briars captures the spirit of Brazilian Carnaval.

Ingredients

  • 1/2 oz Agave nectar
  • 3 Chile pepper slices
  • 3 Lime wedges
  • 2 oz Leblon cachaça
  • 1 oz Lime juice
  • 1 pinch Salt
  • Garnish: chile pepper slices
  • Garnish: lime wedge

Directions

  1. In a shaker, muddle the agave nectar, chile pepper slices and lime wedges.
  2. Add the remaining ingredients and fill with crushed ice.
  3. Shake, and pour (unstrained) into a rocks glass.
  4. Garnish with additional chile pepper slices or a lime wedge.
