Kon-Tiki Grog
Head under the palapa at Oakland's new Kon-Tiki for Christ Aivaliotis and Matthew Reagan's rum and Tiki drinks. This cocktail is a riff on a classic Trader Vic's Grog.

Ingredients

  • 2 ounces Hamilton Reserve pot-still Jamaican black rum
  • 1 ounce pineapple juice
  • 3/4 ounce lemon juice, freshly squeezed
  • 1/2 ounce Small Hand Foods passion fruit syrup
  • 1 dash Angostura bitters
  • Garnish: mint sprig
  • Garnish: cherry
  • Garnish: pineapple wedge

Directions

  1. Add all ingredients into a shaker with crushed ice and shake briefly.
  2. Strain into a Tiki mug over fresh ice.
  3. Garnish with a mint sprig, a cherry and a pineapple wedge.
